Sullivan's super seventh team won both games of a double header against Old Westminster Citizens 6s to move second in the table with a couple of games in hand.

The prolific Lyons and Williams both hit hat-tricks in an 8-1 victory to begin - Phillips scoring the other two - while Sansom, Lyons and Williams all notched in the following 3-1 victory.

The first side lost 1-0 at home to West Wickham and remain in mid-table, now three points behind their opponents.

The 2s were not in action while the 3s, also at home, won 5-3 against HSBC. They are now fifth in the table, three points off second spot but having played a couple of games more than a pair of teams above them.

The 4s won 3-2 at Carhsalton, the bottom side in their division, while the 5s drew 1-1 at home to West Wickham.

A 3-1 away victory for the 6s put them five points clear at the top of the 5s' division, Old Actonians the opponents.

The eighth side's giant-killing dream was meanwhile cut short by a well-organised HSBC 4s. The Poly took a comfortable 3-1 lead in the first half but HSBC's fitness fared better in the second as they got the crucial goals needed to take them into the semis of the LFFJ Cup.

It was a good day for the 9s, taking four points from a double header with top of the league Civil Service.

The first game was particularly dramatic, with Poly taking an early lead through Watkins then immediately losing it before going back in front on the stroke of half-time via a Watkins penalty.

The visitors got their reward after the break with two quick goals but having attacked for most of the game then made the mistake of trying to defend their hard-won lead.

After a couple of near misses, Watkins headed home a corner to claim his hat-trick in the dying seconds.

The second game began less eventfully, the Poly going behind midway through the first half.  However a Chicharro cross sailed in and in the second half the Chiswick side blew their opponents away with a magnificent four-goal burst including a superb individual run from Louki, another fine counter-attack set up by the tireless Moran and converted by Louki, another from the free-scoring Watkins and one more from Louki - finishing off the second hat-trick of the day.
