Welcome to the Vets page of the Polytechnic Football Club Web site.  We are a team of gentlemen of a certain age (over 40 - minimum requirement to play) most of whom played in the higher echelons of the club in their youth, but prefer to play a couple of times a month rather than commit to playing every weekend and would rather play at a pace that befits our advanced years. Should also mention that our fixture policy is helps most of the players to maintain a healthy marriage, as nearly all of us have (understanding) wives and most have children. 

As all the players have played to a good standard, the quality of our football is very high. We operate with a core squad of 17/18 players, which means that your place isn't in jeopardy if you miss a game, but competition for places this season will be high. Many of the players have been connected with the club for over 20 years and have friendships going back that far. We play friendly matches on Sunday mornings, but also enter both AFA Vets Cup competitions and reached a final in 07/08.

We have a fantastic spirit in the side and go on tour every year, although like our matches, the pace of the tours has slowed somewhat.
